  • U.S. Signal Corps Radio Receiver BC-189-A: aircraft receiver covering 150 kHz - 13 MHz, selection of bands by means of plug in coil sets, modes AM (A3) and CW (A1, with BFO), connectors for loop and wire antenna.

    Matching coil sets have the designation C-145-A.

    The BC-189-A aircraft receiver was a predecessor to the BC-224 receiver series; in installation together with the low power transmitter BC-307, the installation got the designation SCR-238.

    Sets have peen produced by Radio Receptor Co., Inc., New York.

    Power supply with built-in dynamotor.
