  • The object of the "Bearing Corrector" is to assist in working from a Relative to a True or Magnetic Bearing. (From the instruction sheet.)

    The Bearing Corrector is made of Nickel plated brass; the presentation case is mahogany, measuring (WHD) : 160mm x 73mm x 160mm.

    The Bearing Corrector has these words on it: "With the compliments of The Marconi International Marine Communication Co.", and examples have been found on the internet having names of ship captains engraved on it. It is believed these were presented to honor particular sailors.
