This portable receiver operates on mains (2-prong, non-UK) and battery, and covers the following wavebands:
- LW: 150 - 408 kHz
- MW: 525 - 1605 kHz
- SW5: 5.97 - 7.3 MHz
- SW4: 9.5 - 9.77 MHz
- SW3: 11.7 - 12.1 MHz
- SW2: 15.1 - 15.45 MHz

The set employs 19 transistors and 18 diodes. The elliptical loudspeaker measures 5 x 3 inch. There are connectors for external aerial and earth, a 5-pin DIN tape output and a 3 mm jack for earphones. Both ferrite rod and telescopic aerials are built-in.
The Selena MB was made in 3 different versions: battery only, mains/battery (non-UK) and mains/battery (UK) with marine band.
This radio is a Vega branded version of Selena {Селена} B-206 {Б-206} made by Minsk Radio Works.
