  • Two transistor "Boy's Radio" commonly sold in the U.S. to avoid tariffs, since a device with less than 3 transistors was considered a toy, not a radio.  PCB etched with "FUJIKO", possibly made by Fuji Kogei Sha (Kogeisha) Ltd., Tokyo.

    Almost all schematics of this type radio (with loudspeaker) are practically identical with minor component changes.  The principle is TRF (tuned reflex).  Some design variants have regeneration provided by a "gimmick" using a wire to capacitively couple the RF stage to the ferrite antenna, e.g. Crown TR-25.

    Similar to Pet and Zephyr 232 models.
