  • This Receiver, for television sound and vision only, is essentially the pre-WWII V86C with certain improvements in focus and noise suppression. Tube is CRM121 giving a 10 inch by 8 inch picture. Cabinet is of Walnut. The V86CA was released specifically for the Murphy Radio and TV dealers to use as demonstration sets to show the re-opening of the UK television service. Selected dealers were allocated just one receiver and told not to sell it as they would not get another, but to use it to take orders for the new V114 model about to be put into production.
