  • The National AGL receiver is the longwave version of the National AGS and AGU receivers. Instead of plug-in coils, the AGL's coils were self-contained and utilized a bandswitch. It also differs from the AGS in that it uses a National B Dial for tuning.

    The National AGL, along with the National AGU, was listed as being "new" in advertising from July 1933. However, neither receiver was listed in the National Company Bulletin (catalog) No. 220, which came out in October of 1933, or Bulletin No. 240, which came out in october 1934;
