• Neumann KM85 ist ein Kleinmembran-Kondensatormikrophon mit nierenförmiger Richtcharakteristik. Kapsel vom Verstärkerteil abschraubbar. Kompensation des Nahbesprechungseffektes (keine Tiefenanhebung), im Freifeld ergibt sich daraus ein Tiefenabfall. Sonst entspricht es der Type KM84. Betrieb mit 48V-Phantomspeisung. Ausgangsimpedanz 200 Ohm. Der Verstärker ist baugleich mit den anderen Mikrophonen der Fet 80er-Serie, wie KM84, KM83 usw. Anschluß über verschraubbaren Kleintuchel Stecker, spätere Ausführungen über XLR (KM85i).
