Hello:
My Globetraveler III (TN6000 Series) radio has a capacitor between the whip antenna and the radio circuit board. It has broken in half.
According to the Nordemende schematic diagram, it is a 4700pf capacitor and is not polarized. I suspect it might be needed for static electricity supression purposes, but I do not know for sure. I think it is a ceramic capacitor. There is a wire coming out of each end and it looks a lot like a small resistor.
Question: Will any non-polarized capacitor of the proper specifications be acceptable? Do I need to be concerned whether it is rated at (for example) 200 volts or 2000 volts? Do I need to be concerned about the capacitor material?
Any guidance will be greatly appreciated.
Thank you,

Hello:
I need to replace a burned out dial light bulb in my Nordmende Globetraveler III. Can anyone help identify the correct bulb to use?
The main dial iight is a BA7S. But the dial light for the rotating shortwave dial is a very small wedge type bulb with no metal base. I cannot read the writing on it other than it is an Osram brand bulb.
The radio operates on 7.5 volts and the BA7S for the main dial light is a 7 volt bulb. So, I assume the wedge base bulb for the shortwave tuner is rated at 7 volts also.
Note: The Globetraveler II uses two BA7S bulbs. But for the slightly newer Globetraveler III, the shortwave tuner uses the wedge type bulb described above. I know this because I own both radio models and have taken them both apart. I am mentioning this only to provide additional clarification.
Any information regarding the bulb number used would be greatly appreciated.
