  • Anotaciones
  • On April 23rd, 1925 Northern Electric reached an agreement with the Victor Talking Machine Co. of Canada. They began a series of receivers to which NE apparently supplied the chassis and Victor the cabinet. Electronically these radios presented no particular challenge for NE as they were already producing Superheterodyne models (the R4). The first of these Victor/Northern models was the R-20 which was a regenerative detector and amplifier. This set used 2 R215-A peanut tubes and other NE parts. It was much like the R-12 set from 1923. Like the R-12 it was simple to operate having only three controls.
