"Mr.Wizard" (Don Herbert) introduces basic electronics with 12 Lectron blocks (small plastic boxes with components, developed by Egger, Germany). The manual with 16 pages includes 33 experiments, produced by Kimble Products (Owens-Illinois, Toledo, Ohio).
