    A two-speed, twin-track battery operated tape recorder with nine transistors and automatic voice-operated slide-synchronisation. This National portable, fully automatic tape recorder is ideal for business, education and pleasure. Can be used for personal narration with slides or with 8 mm. film projector. Housed in a black plastic cabinet of imitation leather finish and has strap for easy carrying.

    Features: this tape recorder, which has 5" reels, features an automatic voice or input signal mechanism which enables the start of recording automatically on sound input and stops shortly after the last signal. The automatic stop will stop the tape at any pre-set section. Other features are: automatic start, automatic slide-synchronisation, movie projector synchronisation, remote microphone control and PA system. Comprising nine high powered transistors, this tape recorder has an output of 700 mW. The tone control and fast forward mechanisms are comparable to larger size tape recorders.

    Specifications: power source, six UM-1 National batteries (9V). Recording system, AC bias; erasure system, DC. Frequency response: 100 - 7000 C/s (Hz)  at 3½ ips. 100 - 4000 C/s (Hz) at 1⅞ ips. Speaker, 3½" PM dynamic.
