- Anotaciones
- The Philco model 37-33 series uses a 5-tube battery-powered single band chassis. For the filament supply, either a 2 volt storage battery can be used, or a dry battery (presumably 3 volt) with a ballast tube to reduce the voltage to 2 volts. According to the information in Rider, the ballast tube inserts into a socket on the dry A battery itself.
There are multiple models in the series with different cabinet styles. Model 37-33B is a cathedral with an arch-shaped profile and four vertical bars through the speaker grill. There may also have been a late version with a scalloped speaker opening (documented in Ramirez 1993 edition, but not shown on Ramirez website in 2009).
Model 37-33F is a floor-type console; the early version has a tulip pattern in the speaker opening, and the late version has a large rectangular speaker grill with three vertical bars.
