• Bemerkung
• The Philco model 37-623 series (1936-37) uses a 6-tube 3-band chassis with battery power supply, similar in design to that used in the previous model 623 series (1935-36), but updated to use octal tubes. Band coverage is 530-1720 kHz (BC), 2.3-7.4 MHz (SW1), and 7.35-22 MHz (SW2). The filament supply is either a 2 volt storage battery, or a dry battery (presumably 3 volts) with a type 1F1 ballast tube inserted into a socket on the battery pack to reduce the voltage to 2 VDC.
  
  There are two models in the series with different cabinet styles. Model 37-623B is a tombstone, and 37-623J is a console.
