There are four individual models in the series with different cabinet styles. Model 38-40T (1937-38) is a table radio. Model 38-40K (1937) is a console with a vertical control panel flush with the front of the cabinet, and a non-inclined speaker grill. Model 38-40F (1937) is another console with a slightly recessed control panel and an inclined sounding board. Model 38-40XF (1938) is a third console design with a sloping control panel.
