  • Modelo: 38-93B [Late] - Philco, Philadelphia Stg. Batt
  • Forma
  • Sobremesa alto decorativa, similar a Capilla pero cuadrado (Tombstone, can have rounded edges).
  • Anotaciones
  • There are two versions of the 38-93B tombstone -- an early version with a round dial and the tuning knob in the center of the dial, and a late version with a rectangular dial, with the tuning and volume controls below the dial. The early version has a photofinish front, and the late version has a wood veneered front.

Philco service literature indicates that the 37-93 schematic is to be used for servicing the 38-93 chassis. Thus we may conclude that the two chassis are electrically similar. Note that the chassis for the early and late versions of 38-93B must be mechanically different, since the control locations and tuning mechanism are different.

Stein "Cathedral & Tombstone Radios" lists this model two times (model "93" with 1 band and model "93B" with 2 bands.
