The Philco 39-72T is a battery-powered portable radio, very similar in design to the 39-71T. There are minor circuit changes and minor differences in cabinet design between the two.
Designed for use with two Eveready 738/Burgess No.B30 45V B batteries connected in series to supply 90V and one Eveready 742/Burgess No.4F 1.5V A battery or similar.
