- Notes
- Model 470A combines a model 70A superheterodyne chassis with a model 4 short wave converter in a console cabinet. The SW converter and main radio chassis each have separate dials on the front of the cabinet. There are three SW bands: 1.5 - 3.6 MHz, 3.6 - 8.5 MHz, and 8.5 - 19.0 MHz. When operating on SW, the radio functions as a double conversion receiver, with the SW converter feeding a 1000 kHz signal to the input of the BC receiver chassis. Model 470 is for 50-60 Hz power; model 470A is for 25-60 Hz.
