Model 500X is a radio-phonograph in a floor-type console cabinet using the 11-tube all-wave model 16 radio chassis. The early version (1934) has the early version of the model 16 chassis with 5 bands, and the late version (1934-35) has the late version of the model 16 chassis with four bands. There is also a model 500L lowboy (which uses the early chassis).
Model 501X is similar to model 500X, but has a record changer instead of single-play turntable.All versions include a shadow meter (tuning aid).
