  • The Philco model 611 series uses a 5-tube 3-band (BC, 2.3-2.5 MHz, and 5.7-18 MHz) chassis with AC/DC power supply. There are four individual models in the series with different cabinet styles.

Model 611B (1935-36) is a shouldered tombstone. Model 611F (1935) is a floor-type console with a tulip design in the speaker opening. Model 611J (1936) is an updated floor-type console with a slightly tapered (trapezoidal) profile and rounded upper corners. Model 611T (1936) is a table radio with a round left side, the speaker opening combining a round lower part with several horizontal bars in the upper part, with an overall resemblence to a small Greek 'sigma.'

The 1937-38 model 37-611 series is similar in design (AC/DC 3-band with 5 tubes) to the 611 series, but with an updated tube lineup.

The model 611 series is electrically similar to the 610 series, except that the 610 series has an AC power supply.
