- Notes
- The Philco model 624 series (1936) is based on a 6-tube 3-band chassis with a 6 VDC vibrator power supply. Band coverage is BC, police (2.3-2.5 MHz), and SW (5.7-18 MHz).
There are three models in the series with different cabinet styles. Model 624B is a tombstone with a slightly trapezoidal shape. Model 624F is a floor-type console with a tulip pattern in the speaker grill. Model 624K is another floor-type console with a slightly trapezoidal shape.
The 37-624 model series (1936-37) and the 38-624 model series (1937-38) use electrically similar 6 VDC chassis, but with slightly different band coverage and updated tube types.
