- Notes
- The Philco model T-7 series includes Philco's first transistor radio. The first version, model T-7 Code 124, was introduced in 1956 for the 1957 model year, and was followed by T-7 Code 126, which is identical in design except for slight circuit changes and one different transistor. Both of these versions have a painted metal perforated grill which is large enough and soft enough that the owner's thumbs and fingers could dent it just by picking it up.
Model T-7X (also marked Code 128) was introduced in 1957 for the 1958 model year, and had an improved case with more durable plastic louvers instead of the perforated metal grill. It does not use a diode (the other two versions do). There may be found also some other transistors than given here: T-1033 (converter); T-1233 (1st IF Amp.); T-1232, T-1299, or T-1233 (2nd IF Amp.); T-1033 (2nd detector).
