  • For this Philips model 438A the earliest date is 1940 because the tubes where from then on available - but the model may have been made during or after the war. The UBL1 serves as 2nd detector; ALC and AF end stage. Power consumption is 43 watt. Careful the model has only an autotransformator, the chassis can have dangerous voltages. The output transformer is below in the chassis.
