Wie 697B jedoch 6V-Akkuspeisung statt separater Heiz- und Anodenbatterie.
Eine Akku-Zelle (2V) speist die Heizung, die andere zwei Zellen (4V) speisen einen Wechselrichter für die Erzeugung der Anodenspannung.
Dieses Modell braucht auch noch eine "C"-Batterie (8-9 V) für die negative Gitterspannung (mindestens 7.5V).
Same radio as 697B but for 6V storage battery instead of separate filament and anode battery.
One battery cell (2V) is power supply for the filaments. The other two cells (4V) are the supply for a vibrator, which generates the anode voltage.
This radio also needs a "C" battery of 8 - 9 volt for negative grid bias (minimum 7.5V).
