    Tube B2 (ECH42) serves for tuning, mixing and oscillator in FM as well as AM.
    FM tubes B12 (EC92) and B1 (EF42) are only RF amplifiers tuned at midband FM. 
     
    "Micro-Tuning": For the purpose of precise tuning in shortwave, the tuning button can be pulled outward permitting micro tuning around the center frequency selected on the main scale. The micro tuning scale with pointer is placed just above the push-buttons. 
     
    Separated tone control for bass and treble.

    Attention: there is a variant model with I.F.= 452 kHz but without distinctive suffix in the model-type, which is exceptional with Philips. Those units are recognisable at the "452 kc/s" stamp on the back of the chassis. See the specific "452kc/s" documents uploaded with this model.
