  B/C transistorised mantel radio housed in Polystyrene cabinet in blue, coral rose, gun-metal and claret; all with bone coloured fronts and silver trim.

  Features: built-in Ferrite aerial; tuning range 520-1620 kC/s (kHz). Large elliptical 8" x 4" speaker; output 200 mW.

  Large circular tuning dial with built-in magnifying lenses. Carrying grip located at rear of set. Operates from one Eveready Type 276P (9V) battery. Can be operated from AC supply using Philips Power Pack.

  Wrap-around cabinet lifts off in one piece for ease of servicing. (MINGAY'S PRICE SERVICE)

  In advertising, this radio is refered to as a Mantel/Portable. It has a carry handle moulded into the back of the cabinet but is better described as a mantel model.
  All components are mounted on a small PCB and, whilst there is a groove in the rear casing to allow entry of a power cable there are no mounting points for a transformer.

  The MT5 designation is marked on a paper label in the rear of the radio.
