  • Tha Canadian Philips radio P143-3 from Philips Industries Ltd. was made in different versions, for instance also as P143 with other tubes (valves). The cabinet is the same, except the "back wall". The scale shows two readings for the broadast band, meters (550 - 200 m) and below khz (550 - 1600), plus a smaller row with the numbers 0-5-10-15-20-25-30-35-40. That looks like a multi band receiver what it is not. The models P133 and P143 share the same schematic, but not P143-3. For the radio model P143-3 the patent information "1940-1956" shows that the model can not be earlier than 1956.
