By mid 80´s modular hifi - also called "separates" - were a hit in Brazilian market, in spite of they high price. In an attempt to make this concept more accessible, thereby increasing its market share, Philips' commercial department briefed the local audio lab (at the time in Piracicaba city) to develop some families of modular sets with low cost and basic specifications. These families were composed by the following models:
06AH621 and 06AH625 = Receivers
06AH325 = Stereo amplifier
06AH125 = Tuner
06AW620, 06AW622 and 06AW721 = Cassette record/players
06AF294 = TurntableDedicated speaker boxes for each family and and a wood rack
