• The Australia Philips model 1203 was published as "new" in Australian "Wireless Weekly" issue October 16, 1931 and was therefore for the season 1931/32. The model 1203 is also mentioned in NZVRS Bulletin Vol. 13, No. 4, February 1993. The loudspeaker is shown in the ad with the text "Special Philips speaker Unit, scientifically baffled and buit-in beneath the cabinet. Full-floading cone. ... Dual-drum control makes tuning extremely simple. Left drum controls volume - right drum, tuning selector." This indicates that already in 1931 existed full floating magnetic loudspakers, not only since 1932 (in Germany "Freischwinger" 1932 and later).
