Hi,
I am restoring one of those Phonola 577.
On my radio, the IF n° 4 (the upper right one, seen from the back) does not tune. The ferrite is inside and connected to the tuning screw, but there is no maximum tuning from full in to full out.
I suspect that one of the capacitors inside is faulty, but I have no idea about how to open the IF aluminium case in order to look inside.
Can someone help me?
Thanks,
Paolo Gramigna from Italy

Could someone supply me with a drawing/sketch of the route of the dial cord for the dial pointer (not the tuning cord) of the Phonola 577.
