  • The RF coils for this kit are not typical for a radio of this era.  They are potted in a Bakelite tube that is 38.5 mm diameter by 35 mm long.

    The schematic diagram is based on examination of two radios both of which had the audio transformers replaced.  Both kits had the bias for the RF stages connected to the filament rheostat for the detector stage so that is believed to be consistent with the kit instructions.  The radio is easier to operate if the RF bias is connected to the ground bus and not dependent on the detector filament voltage.

    From examination of the two examples, wiring of the kits was done with 22AWG bare wire covered with lengths of colored rubber tubing.  Each net in the radio was made with a continuous length of wire laced through the connection points with pieces of tubing covering the wire between connections.
