  • Anotaciones
  • shortwave coverage 1,6 - 30 MHz and 5 spread ham bands; AM, SSB (BFO); supplied with matching external speaker The companion speaker for this radio is the Realistic SP-150.

The specifications sheet says 1 IC, 5 FETs, 6 transistors and 15 diodes, but, whilst the IC is marked on the schematic as an µPC20C, the balance of the semiconductors are not named. The receiver will accept 12 Volts DC input as well as 115/220-240 volts AC. Provision is made for single side band and CW reception but there is no provision for FM. The full frequency coverage is listed on the Specifications Sheet. Dating of this radio is from the manual. It quotes “the last sunspot peak activity WAS 1968, minimum activity Will Be about 1976”. This is clearly not a Hi Fi device with frequency response being quoted as 300 to 3000Hz at -6dB. Weight is without the external speaker. There is no provision for an internal aerial and the Manual recommends a "Long Wire" aerial initially with a more selective choice when particular areas of interest are developed.
