FM Portable Transceiver. Fixed frequency, set by interchangeable crystals.18 tubes (17 subminiature, 1 miniature) and 3 transistors. On-off rotary switch, volume and squelch control knobs. Sockets for Antenna and Mike (with PTT pushbutton: button is also used to lock the mike to the rtx handle, when not used). Power supply is actually a simple battery compartment with internal multicontact socket. It contains 3x 'B' battery (likely 45, 67,5 or 90V); 'A' battery (likeky 1,5 or 4,5V); another battery (likely for grid polarization and/or for transistors supply). Historical notes: External bright yellow color and 'CD' (Civil Defense) logo indicates that it is a special product, designed for use in emergency situations (e.g. Soviet Nuclear Attack, as its 1958 'Cold War Era' production date suggests). 'MLW 107' green tag indicates that it was used by the Civil Defense office of Milwaukeee, WI (USA).
