The RCA 45-EY is an AC operated 3 tube phonograph with mono amplifier and speaker. The turntable is a 45 RPM, model RP-168, which holds up to ten 7 inch fine groove records. Uses crystal pickup with medium output voltage.
This model was available with 3 different chassis:
Chassis RS-132: Uses 50C5 output tube, pickup 74067
Chassis RS-132-A: Uses 50C5 output tube, modified volume control circuit, pickup 74625
Chassis RS-132-F: Uses 50B5 output tube, pickup 74067Please note that the 50B5 and 50C5 tubes are not interchangable! Thus the proper output tube should be used for the specific chassis in the phonograph.
