  • Notes
  • This model RCA Victor 4C545 uses the chassis Ch=RC-1145.

The Beitman schematic shown above is used for different chassis numbers representing differences in technical aspects and cabinet form.

For each chassis there exist several model numbers reflecting the colors.

In detail, the Beitman schematic tells us:

Chassis RC-1145 was an AC clock radio available in the color models 4C541(maroon), 4C542(ivory), 4C543(dark green), 4C544(red), 4C545(black) and 4C547(white).

Chassis RC-1144 was also an AC clock radio similar to RC-1145, but the radio-phono switch S2 and outlet J2 were omitted and it had a metalized grille. It was available in the color models  4C531(maroon), 4C532(ivory), 4C533(dark green) 4C534(red) and 4C535(black).

Chassis RC-1146 (Photofact date 3-55, set 271, folder 10) was a radio without clock and therefore operable with either AC or DC. The rest oft the schematic was similar (identical?) to RC-1145 but the cabinet was quite different with top right thumbwheel dial and left front horizontal grill bars. It was available in the color models 4X551(maroon), 4X552(ivory), 4X553(dark green), 4X554(red) and 4X555(black).

Chassis RC-1150  (Photofact date 12-55, set 279, folder 12) was also a radio without clock similar to RC-1145 but with again a very different appearance using a "front see-through dial panel" over a large checkered grill area and 3 knobs. It was available in the color models 5X560(black?), 5X562(ivory) and 5X564(red).
