  • Anotaciones
  • General purpose communications receiver with crystal filter. Continuous frequency coverage of 535 kHz to 32 MHz in 6 switched bands. Tube types above are listed only once. AR-88D receiver was originally manufactured as AR-88, change in designation occurring between Serial Nos. 003000 and 010000. The two sets differed in output stage, and AR-88 incorporated a tuning meter in place of illuminated name-plate appearing on AR-88D. Despite change in designation, AR-88D receivers still kept the name "AR-88" on their name-plates. During WWII the AR-88 (AR-88D) have been manufactured in large numbers for service use, most of the receivers being shipped to the UK and the USSR as Lend-Lease supplies. See also CR-88 and SC-88.
