  • The RCA Radiola 28 AR-998 [Battery] radio has the following features:

    • Battery powered.
    • Dual drum tuner dials.
    • Battery Setting control, and Volume control.
    • A metal tube cover is located horizontally above the controls.
    • A voltmeter, such as the Weston-Jewell 135-A, is mounted to the Radiola 28 AR-998 top panel and is used while the tube voltages are adjusted; nominal value is 3V.
    • Used in the Brunswick Cordova 8.
    • Radiola 28 chassis was also adapted for use in the RCA Radiola 28 AR-920 [Battery].
    • The AC version Radiola 28 chassis was adapted for use in the RCA Radiola 28 AR-969 [AC].
