- The phonograph of this RCA model RAE84 can play 78s and 33 1/3 rpm records! See also RCA model RE81 for this very early speed. Information from Alan Douglas for this model: "According to the "Red Book", the RCA service manual 1931/32, this RCA model RAE84 was announced September 27, 1932 with a list price of $ 310. Date of sample shipment was already September 22 and first stock shipment was September 26, 1932. This model was produced 1830 times." According to that "Red Book", the model RAE84 was the only model, but we show also a model "Victor RAE84 Bi-Acoustic". We will have to clear this.
