  •  Rated at 100W PEP (Peak Envelope Power) for continuous operation, the Rediplex system provides simultaneous transmission and reception of four duplex voice-frequency (VF) channels on any of four alternative crystal-controlled spot frequencies in the band 2Hz to l6MHz. The VF channels can be any combination of speech, teleprinter, facsimile or tone intelligence signals.

     The transmitting terminal type MC.13, transmitter power unit, and receiving terminal type MC.12 with integral power unit, are designed for mounting in a standard 19in rack. The transmitter incorporates a fully transistorized drive unit, and provides four audio channels symmetrically disposed about a pilot carrier. The four preset RF carrier frequencies are crystal-controlled, and the stability is better than ±30Hz between -10°C and +55°C.  AF response on each channel is 400Hz to 2700Hz within 3dB, and cross-talk between any two channels averages -50dB. The receiving terminal type MC.12 is fully transistorized. All units are fully tropicalized for installation anywhere in the world.

    Power units are available for 100-120V or 200-250V AC mains or 24V DC battery operation. Power consumption with all channels operating is 250W AC mains, or 200W using the 24V DC power unit. In the stand-by condition this is reduced to 100W on AC or 45W on 24V DC supply.

     Maximum AF output level is +10dBm and distortion is less than 5%. Sensitivity is 5µV per channel for 20dB signal-plus-noise/noise ratio.
