  • This model is equipped with automatic tuning. The RT_neon is a voltage regulator tube. The 6X6 is a tuning indicator tube. The second 6F7M tube is used as a phase inverter. The radio has a telephone dial and an illuminated glass slide rule rolling pin dial window. Cabinet by the Hespeler Furniture Co. Ltd. in Ontario. The Majestic 7126 and De Forest Niagara are nearly electronically identical to this set.
See this article containing Teledial models. Also Teledial models of other brands are covered. In particular the nine 1936/37 Grunow models presented in "Radio Retailing", March 1937, are linked.

This is not a true 'teledial' as found in Grunow or Phonola, but rather 'Automatic Radio' as advertised in the Rogers brochure of the period.

A teledial, as the name implies, is like a rotary dial phone where you push in a button and turn the dial as the button is pushed.

The Rogers, Majestic, and Deforest Crosley models for 1938 have the Automatic Radio where the large metal dial is turned to a preset station with a wrist action; there is no push button to push in.
