12 channel magnetic drum announcing unit, installed in telephone exchanges to inform subscribers of changed telephone numbers, service disconnections and out-of-order services.
The equipment is so designed that full actuation can be provided by normal telephone exchange equipment, with up to 12 tracks available. i.e. up to 12 messages may be recorded and played back as selected.
The equipment comprises three main units: the Magnetic Drum unit, Amplifier Section and switching interface panel.
The 12, four-stage transistorised amplifiers have an output of approximately 500mW.
This was an updated, 12 channel version of the Rola VMR.
