Elro Wireless Remote Controller AB440R

Elro is a brand name of Roos Electronics BV. The AB440R is a 4-channel wireless remote that can be used to control the following Elro products as well as compatible receiver units:

AB440D Plug-in dimmer
AB440ID Flush-mounted dimmer
AB440IS Flush-mounted switch
AB440L Bulb holder dimmer
AB440M Wall switch
AB440S Plug-in switch
AB440W Plug-in outdoor switch

5 DIP switches in the remote allow 32 system codes to be set, and within each system the push switches A to D allow up to 4 units to be controlled. The same system code can be set in several receivers if they are to be controlled by the same switches.

When controlling dimmers, the ON switch is kept pressed until the desired level is reached. Pressing the OFF or ON switches briefly turns the device OFF or ON (to the last dim level set).

The remote uses an 18-pin DIP HX2262 CMOS encoder IC that has a built-in oscillator and provides a serial waveform for the transmitter. It is powered by an A23 12 V alkaline primary battery.

Operating Frequency 433.92 MHz.
Maximum range 30-50 m.
