The RT-12 Digital Gateway brings together conventional radio reception facilities for FM and DAB+, plus from the world of computers the ability to access literally thousands of radio stations available on the internet.
In addition, it offers the facility to interface with your music files stored on a network server.

•  Access UPnP PCs and music with ‘Media Player’ Mode.
• Listen to DAB+, FM broadcasting station.
• Serve as the gateway for the Rotel-Link feature to control other components in the system.

Configured at the factory for AC line voltage in the country where purchased (USA: 120 volts/60 Hz, Europe: 230 volts/50 Hz, Australia: 240 volts/50 Hz).
The AC line configuration is noted on a label on the back panel.

Software and Hardware Update to Rotel Internet Radio Products

Qualcomm discontinued support for their Reciva based Internet Radio services on September 13, 2021.  The server shutdown terminates Internet Radio services for all Qualcomm Reciva based products. Affected Rotel models include RDG-1520, RT-09, RT-12, RT-1570 and RCX-1500.

Software Update

Models running Internet Radio Software V266-a-137-a-014 or newer can update the software via the Internet.  No hardware modification is required for this update.  Note: A FACTORY DEFAULT via the remote-control setup is required after the software update to fully activate the new streaming service.

Software + Hardware Update

Models running Internet Radio Software V266-a-137-a-003, V266-a-137-a-007 require a Hardware and Software update.

 A new Internet Streaming module Rotel Part #: 501E-1576A-A ( RT-1570, RT-12 ); 501E-1576A-C ( RDG-1520, RT-09, RCX-1500 ) is required.
