Hi everybody:

I need yor help in order to restore my Saba Freudenstat 12.

I has the power transformer burned (the primary wound).

I must to send it to rebuild and I am trying to calculate the parameters. I will really appreciate your information and/or checkup of my calculations.

The radio has the following tubes with this data (taken from RMorg):

Tube Heather Voltage   Heather current Anodes Current 
ECC85 6,3 0.435 10 mA + 10mA
ECH81 6,3 0,3 11mA + 13,5mA
EBF89 6,3 0,3 9mA
ELL80 6,3 0,55 24mA + 24mA
ECC83 6,3 0,3 1,2 mA + 1,2mA
EM84 6,3 0,21 0,45mA + 0,06mA
Dial Lamp 7,0 0,3  
Dial Lamp 7,0 0,3  

Then for the high voltage of the power transformer (secondary), I will need:

a) Total Current for Anodes Current:  104,41 mA   (adding all the anode currents from the table)

b) Voltage: 235 VAC (showed in the schematic).

For the heathers I will need another secondary with:

c) Voltage: 6,3 VAC

d) Total Heather Current: 2,685 A (adding all the heather currents from the table)

Is this correct?. If yes, What woud be the tolerance for the voltages and the currents? What are the values that I need to add to the calculated values, in order to assure the new transformer will run very well.

By the way, I will use the same nucleus to rebuild the transformer.

Werte Mitglieder,

ich habe heute im Tausch diesen Apparat bekommen.Er spielt und hat nur einige kleine Fehler, wie der verharzte Balanceregler. Bei genauerer Betrachtung fiel mir auf, dass ein Röhrensockel nicht belegt ist.

Nun meine Frage:

Ist dieser Steckplatz für ein Zusatzgerät?

Vielleicht weiß jemand etwas ohne ein Bild, anderenfalls werde ich noch eines nachliefern.

Liebe Radiofreunde,

ich wollte schon immer mal ein Saba Stereo in meiner Sammlung haben. Jetzt habe ich vor einer Woche auf einem Trödelmarkt eins für 20€ erwerben können. Rein äußerlich in einem neuwertigen Zustand.

Nur leider funktioniert es nur mit Tonabnehmer. Auf UKW kommt nichts. Auf Kurzwelle auch nicht, auf MW kommt ein lautes Brummen und auf LW kommt auch nichts. Ich habe bereits alle Röhren einmal ausgetauscht, bis auf die ELL 80. Außerdem habe ich alle Elkos (4 Stück), bis auf die Becherelkos ausgetauscht. Trotzdem ist alles beim alten geblieben.

Ich hoffe, das mir Jemand helfen kann und möchte mich im Vorfeld schon mal bedanken, auch noch mal vielen Dank wegen meinem Telefunken Opus 55, was durch Ihre Hilfe wieder funktioniert.
