  • The full page ad in "Radio Retailing" October 1928 shows a MIK 1 but also the PAM model 16 and a PAM 17, each for the price of $ 125 without tubes. They are power amplifiers, but built most similar, but the two small transformers are placed a bit differently. The Samson PAM 16 is for ordinary and the Samson PAM 17 is for dynamic type speakers for which it supplies field current.
    The Samson MIK 1 is a two stage microphone input amplifier with volume control, microphone current rheeostat and meter, built to match these two amplifiers.
