- Designed by E. M. Sargent, the Infradyne was a superheterodyne receiver which featured an intermediate frequency (IF) of 3.2 or 3.5 Mhz instead of the more-or-less usual 50 Khz IF of the time. This to avoid royalties for the superheterodyne patents. The set was made by Remler Radio Manufacturing Co., a division of Gray and Danielson Mfg. Co, San Francisco, California. This company made also a 10 tube radio with this circuit included. See there.
