- The Silvertone model 4424 is the same as model 4425, except this model 4424 is using a 3 Volt "A" dry battery with the 1N1 automatic battery economizer. For details see schematic. Both models cover broadcast 545 to 1720 kHz, long waves (weather band) 220 to 400 kHz and short waves 5.6 to 17.5 MHz. Long waves are quite unusual for US models.
