  • Anotaciones
  • This model 7020 "Commentator" colored in "Walnut Brown" and the model 7022 "Commentator" colored in Ivory, both having metal cabinets, made by Noblitt-Sparks (Arvin) were a short lived attempt to get rid of certain problems with the Silvertone models 3351, 3451 and 3551 by designing them without push-down buttons and with a metal cabinet. The war stopped a longer production.
    See this text.
Post war followers with the "old" plastic cabinet with push-down knobs but also with single ended tubes are Silvertone 7004, 7006 and 7008 (only different colors). All show the "push down" or "piano key" "instamatic" buttons, not ordinary "push buttons". The set would be pushed away with ordinary push buttons. All have the same drift problems. The chassis 132.814 of the 7020 and 7022 is even newer than the post war 7004 etc. with 132.812.
