  • Annotazioni
  • The Silvertone V3 Meteor in an Adam brown cabinet with Mahogany finish is identical with Echophone V3. The set needs only dry cells. Manufacturer was "The Radio Shop". There are different Sears ads in 1924 and 1925. One is shown by Alan Douglas, Volume III on page 66 as "Page 6 Sears, Roebuck and Co. (459)" from a Sears catalog 1924. Besides the price of $ 45 there is also a price of $ 75 including all accessories like tubes, batteries, loudspeaker standing 22.5" high, complete aerial and ground equipment, wire, insulators, lightning arrester etc. The order numbers then are 57A2706 1/4 for complete set and 57A2705 1/4 without tubes and accessories.
We found a later ad with order number 57A2736 1/4 for $ 39.50 or 57A2737 1/4 (complete) for $ 63.45. Even cheaper it becomes in 57D2705 1/4 for $ 29.85 or complete 57D2706 1/4 for $ 49.50. Besides Sears, alos Echophone, Radio Shop and Armac sold this model. We might have to find out if there is a difference between order number 2736 and 2705 (resp. complete 2737 and 2706)!
