  • Notes
  • The Rider Chanalyst for Signal Tracing features five separate channels, permitting the isolation of intermittent troubles. The RF-IF channel is a 3-stage tuned RF amplifier (TRF for 95 through 1700 kHz). A single stage TRF covering from 600 kHz through 18 MHz is for checking a receiver's local oscillator. The fifth "channel" is a center-zeroing 11 MegOhms-per-volt vacuum tube voltmeter. The Type "A" variation of model 11 added pin jacks so that voltage output readings could be taken by that voltmeter of the RF-IF channel and the Oscillator channel.
There are 9 different Chanalyst Models that include: A, AX, 11, 11A, 162, 162A, 162B, 162C, and TS-303/AG. Models AX and 162A are the same as Models A and 162, respectively, except that the operating power frequency is 25 to 40 Hz, and the price. In terms of the 9 Models, the only significant differences occurred between the Model A and Model 11, and the Model 11 and the Model 162. Even the TS-303/AG is only a slightly militarized version of the Model 162C. It is militarized by spraying the chassis with antifungal and upgrading the tubes to JAN.
