Some technical details:
The receiver is built around two integrated circuits, IC1 KT0936M-B9 Radio-on-a-Chip, and IC2 8002A Power Amplifier.
The KT Micro KT0936M-B9 (SSOP16 package) DSP with integrated MCU and class AB Audio Amplifier, is a Radio-on-a-Chip solution, featuring FM (32 - 110 MHZ at 50 or 100 kHz stepping, 1.6uV @ (S+N)/N) 26dB), LW (150 - 520 kHZ at 1 kHz stepping, 16uV @ (S+N)/N) 20dB), MW (500 - 1750 kHz at 9 or 10 kHz stepping, 16uV @ (S+N)/N) 20dB), and SW (1.75 - 32 MHz at 5 kHz stepping, 13uV @ (S+N)/N) 20dB), running at a nominal 3VDC with a minimum of 2.1V and maximum of 3.6V, with a typical operating current of 28 mA. The audio amplifier is able to deliver 190 mVrms (typical) over a 32 Ohm load with a THD of 0.3%.
The 8002A (SOP8 package) is a 3 Watt over 3 Ohm load class AB Audio Power Amplifier, operation voltage of 2 to 6 VDC, and a shudown current of 0.6uA.
